Trouble activating a Habbo account

Jun 30th, 2010

The other day I remember a old Habbo account I created and I decided to activate it so I can use it on the merged hotel. When I tried to activate it however I was taken to a error page. I couldn’t even get it to start the merge! I submitted a ticket on the new help system (good work with it BTW, I’ve got to say I love having a proper ticket system where I can see past messages), and apparently the problem is caused by my “fuller” cache.

The original message I sent them:

Jun 29 2010 14:58

I am having trouble activating one of my accounts.

The account is <>
Character is <>
Hotel is Australia

After I enter the login details it takes me to a error page (it says “Oops, an error has occurred”).

Their reply:

Thank you for contacting Habbo.

Please read the information below and try to perform the suggested steps before you try to migrate/activate
your account again on

You may be experiencing this problem because your computer cache is full. Every time you visit a web site, your computer stores information in a notebook called a ‘cache’. This information is stored to help memorize your favourite websites and make note of things you visit. Of course, the more you browse the Internet, the fuller your cache becomes! It’s a good idea to clear your cache every 2-3 weeks to stop it filling up and causing problems.

You’ll find many guides on the web to clearing you cache. Every internet browser/operating system is different, so we cannot provide you with specific help on this issue – but you can find it easily using Google.

Also check that your browser and flash player are updated.

Kindly reply to this email if you are still unable to migrate/activate your account after trying the steps above.

Why thank you Richard, my fuller cache is always the problem isn’t it?

It seems a lot of companies have this sort of problems with technical support. Of course Habbo have no excuse because they actually hire their employees one by one instead of outsourcing to India like Telstra (Aussie Phone and ISP company), unless that’s what they are doing…. We are on to you Habbo!

I think the problem is that I don’t type slow enough for them to understand.

I actually hardly ever have a problem with support for other companies (big and small, outsourced or not). I just seem to have problems with Habbo Player Support every time I need to contact them.

We have heaps of problems with Telstra (or rather BigPond), our internet stopped working one day and we rang up to find out why and hopefully get it fixed, they said it was because heaps of people in our area are using the net and since we are on wireless this is causing slow net, this would be a good answer except for the fact that I live in outback WA, in 50km of me there are 250 people and I know for a fact half of them use satellite because I helped set them up (I am the local techie). 8 weeks (thats right, 8 weeks without internet) they ring up to tell us that our local aerial went down for maintenance but was now back up.

Great job Telstra, thanks for the warning and thanks for taking 8 weeks to fix it up or whatever. I would switch ISP but they are the only ISP to offer net out here except for satellite and i don’t want to pay $50 a month for 5 gb.

Computer stores that offer extended warranty are great since you get more bang for the buck for your newly bought PC. “**,:

There are quite a few considerations you should look at for selecting a location for your PC shop. First the area should be well lit, clean and dry. It should be located in an area so that it easy to transport whole computers and components in and out of the area. For example, an office space on the 4th floor of a building with no elevator would not be suitable.”

Do not forget to bring plenty of cash for sellers that do not accept checks or credit cards.
If a bench is desired to closely resemble the factory supplied bench, one
should opt for the duet bench since its style is most like the original.
Hence, in looking for a piano bench that can attain
these demands, you need to regard convenience.
